Design Interns

We are looking for both a Fashion Design Intern and a Graphic design Intern who will support our Design team.

As a Fashion Design Intern you will support our Design team. You will be assisting in the development from sketch to techpack for a wide-range of product designs for menswear and womenswear, reflecting the Daily Paper values across every design. You will be involved in the creative process of the collections including design research, fabric sourcing and technical drawing. During your internship, you will be able to get familiar with a wide range of design activities. You will be part of a young team that will make sure learning and improving is at the center of your daily practice.

As a Graphic Design Intern you will be assisting in creation of artworks for collections and DTP work for all other departments within the organization. During your internship, you will be able to get familiar with a wide range of graphic design activities. You will be part of a young team that will make sure learning and improving is at the center of your daily practice.

Your responsibilities as a Fashion Design Intern:

• Help with research of trend directions; create concept/mood boards, analyze collections, produce trend boards with garment sketches & fabrics, trims;

• Assist with design for several categories for Mens and Womens collection (including accessories)

• Create Techpacks and technical drawings in Illustrator

• Liaise with the technical department to assist with fitting samples

Your responsibilities as Graphic Design Intern:

• Help with research of concepts and latest trends.

• Work on collection graphics

• Come up with multiple ideas, sketches and options for artworks

• Setting up the final artwork files to be sent out to production

• Work on promotional material

• File handling: work with a structured group drive

• Knows what will work well aesthetically for clothing in terms of artworks

• Translate the African cultural heritage into artworks and ensure it fits the needs of the brand’s vision.

Job requirements

• Enrolled in an HBO education in Design or design-related;

• Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, (Photoshop)

• Excellent verbal and writing skills in English and preferably also Dutch
  

Available for a period of at least 5 months with the possibility to extend, starting September 2024. For this internship position we only consider applicants who are already living in the Netherlands and are enrolled in an educational institution.
