We are seeking an experienced Interim Logistics Manager for a temporary assignment of approximately 7 weeks starting mid-April 2026. During this period, you will be responsible for overseeing all logistics operations (inbound and outbound) and ensuring business continuity, operational excellence, and process optimization.
You will manage the external fulfillment partner, monitor service levels and costs, ensure international shipping compliance, and oversee inventory management. Acting as a key liaison between suppliers, warehouses, retailers, and internal stakeholders, you will ensure smooth end-to-end logistics operations
Duties & Responsibilities:
Strategy & Optimization
Safeguard and, where necessary, refine the global logistics strategy (Inbound & Outbound – NL & US)
Monitor the logistics budget in close cooperation with the Finance Department
Review contracts and negotiate competitive shipping rates where required
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, efficiency, accuracy, and productivity
Benchmark logistics providers and assess performance
Advise on team structure and further professionalization towards a more supply chain-driven organization
Fulfillment Management
Manage the external fulfillment warehouse, including order processing, returns, faulty handling, outbound shipments, and compliance with labeling and routing guidelines
Define and monitor global service levels and fulfillment guidelines
Ensure timely deliveries for both B2B and B2C channels in line with contractual agreements
Coordinate delivery windows, online launches, sales campaigns, and peak trading periods with relevant stakeholders
Operations & Inventory
Oversee inventory management and provide detailed reporting on stock positions across channels and warehouses
Act as primary point of contact for inbound logistics topics (delivery terms, barcodes, PO numbers, carton dimensions, etc.)
Cross-check supplier packing lists against purchase orders
Ensure all international shipments are accompanied by accurate and compliant documentation
Temporarily manage team members and/or interns
Job requirements
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar logistics management role within an international organization
Experience with ERP systems
Proven experience managing external warehouses or fulfillment centers
Retail experience is strongly preferred
Hands-on, analytical, and decisive
Available for approximately 7 weeks starting mid-April 2026
