As a logistics assistant you monitor the entire logistics process and ensure that all shipments from A to Z are handled correctly and have the necessary documentation. You are responsible for the timely and effective coordination of numerous warehouse activities, such as: inbound receiving, inventory control, outbound order fulfilment, all in compliance with the customs licenses. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders.
Tasks and responsibilities
Ensure timely logistics execution (plan, execute, monitor) of the international transport of goods, into the specific countries (export, shipping lanes etc.).
Lead troubleshooting of transport and delivery challenges; address other issues as they arise.
Monitor closely all assigned shipments and proactively mitigate or remove any delays & risk on country level.
Monitor vendor overall performance on a regular basis to ensure necessary export documents are received timely and orders are delivered on time.
Collaborate on a daily basis with internal stakeholders.
Preferably education in logistics/supply chain.
Minimal 1 - 2 years of work experience in a similar and relevant logistics role.
Knowledge of Shopify, Nuorder, ERP, Promese portal, sea freight and air freight.
Planning and organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work (semi-)independently and effectively.
Business level knowledge of the Dutch and English language required.
Strong skills in MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Word).
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
