Daily Paper is sold in more than 200 stores worldwide and via its own web shop & stores in Amsterdam and New York. Daily Paper’s headquarters is based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. After a successful pop-up store in London back in 2018, Daily Paper is opening a permanent store in London.

The role

For our London store we are looking for an experienced store manager. In this role you are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the store and hiring, motivating and training staff to generate sales and build relationships with our customers. Because our HQ is located in the Netherlands you will be the link between the London store and the HQ.

The right candidate is an excellent communicator with outstanding organizational skills, has affinity with the brand, can relate to the customers and loads of experience in retail. If this sounds like you, keep on reading!


Store opening

  • Make sure all POS equipment is ordered in time
  • Make sure all processes are in order before the opening (payments, inventory count, receiving packages etc)
  • Work together with the marketing team to plan and execute the opening of the store


  • Managing store budgets
  • Making sure all the right insurances are in place
  • Making sure the store is fully equipped
  •  Collaborates with Marketing on instore activations


  • Suggest initiatives to attract new customers, expand store traffic, and enhance profitability
  • Utilizes the Daily Paper VM guidelines for the London store and implement these, ensures all products and displays are merchandised effectively to maximize sales and profitability
  • Drives sales and makes sure targets are achieved
  • Delivers excellent service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Responsible for Shopify POS, make sure all check outs run smoothly
  • Organize/ give sales training to staff members


  • Monthly inventory at the end of each month and makes sure the reports are in time and correct
  • Monitors inventory levels to order new stock
  • Makes sure that the stock levels are balanced and or solves uneven stock levels
  • Works closely with the buyer to provide feedback on sales


  • Hire store staff, including setting up contracts
  • Key contact for the pay roll company, makes sure all employees receive their salary on time
  • Develops and maintains the weekly personnel planning
  • Defining the team members strengths and ambitions, developing a personal development plan
  • Set annual targets for the team and for team members individually in order to contribute to overall goals of DP
  • Evaluates team members on performance – targets and personal development
  • Motivates and challenges the team members


  • Send out weekly & monthly update reports to the HQ
  • Execute in store marketing activities
  • Is the ultimate Daily Paper representative in the Daily Paper London store

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • + 5 years’ experience in retail, whereof 3 years in a similar role preferably for a likeminded brand
  • Knowledge of the fashion industry
  • Knowledge of POS systems
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
