We are seeking a dynamic Retail Manager to drive performance, elevate customer experience, and boost sales across all Daily Paper stores and shop-in-shops managed by our teams. As Retail Manager, you will ensure the consistent delivery of the Daily Paper customer experience by coaching, developing, and inspiring your teams. You’ll set sales targets, meet business goals for each location, and oversee the day-to-day operations, including sales, staffing, and inventory management.
Your responsibilities:
Retail strategy
Develops and implements the global retail strategy, aligning all owned stores with the brand’s vision and market strategy.
Drives business growth by setting store targets and KPIs
Conducts market research, providing the board with insights on trends, commercial opportunities, and emerging markets.
Sales
Consistently meets monthly sales targets, supporting store managers to reach their goals.
Prepares an annual budget, develops sales forecasts, and formulates plans to maximize store profitability.
Produces monthly reports analyzing sales performance, staff metrics, foot traffic, top sellers, and competitor activity.
Collaborates with Marketing to proactively address in-store communication, merchandising, layout, and product imagery.
Leads the development and rollout of Visual Merchandising guidelines to optimize customer service standards.
Collects and evaluates sales data to monitor retail performance, providing valuable feedback to the design team on product needs and assortment adjustments.
Operations
Recruits, trains, and supervises store staff, ensuring a high standard of performance.
Manages stock levels with optimized control through weekly audits and accurate stock reporting.
Monitors service quality via mystery shopping, developing action plans for improvement.
Regularly visits stores to stay closely connected with each market’s operations and trends.
Job requirements
- 5+ years of relevant retail, sales and business development experience
- Experience in managing a team
- Good understanding of the Fashion and Luxury industry
- Strong self-discipline to work independently with a sheer focus on sales results
- Good knowledge of retail operations
- Ensures continuous development of own team by establishing a growth environment
- Experience with international store openings and projects coordination
